Kinema June Update : Version 1.3.16
Did you notice a Mid-May update?
That’s because we were busy preparing our very first submission to the Apple App Store! To give Kinema the best chance of approval, we spent time improving and polishing several parts of the app. One of those improvements was a super-fast profile image updater, making profile changes feel much more responsive.
Finally Fixed: Watchlist & Ratings Loading Bug
One of the most frustrating bugs has finally been fixed.
Some users experienced an issue where, after logging in, films in their Watchlist or Rated section simply wouldn’t load. We personally hated this bug, but it took some time to track down the root cause and fix it properly.
The good news: it should now be a thing of the past.

Android Testing Begins Soon
We’ve also been helping test a brand-new development tool that allows us to build iOS and Android versions from the same codebase more efficiently.
Because of this, we’re planning a soft launch of an Android test version next month. We’re excited to finally get Kinema into the hands of Android users and start gathering feedback.
Connection Request Notifications
One of the biggest updates this month is notifications for connection requests.
You’ll now receive a notification whenever someone wants to connect with you, making it much easier to grow your movie network and keep up with new connections.

Explore AND NAV BAR Has Been Rebuilt
We’ve spent a lot of time reworking how Explore and the Nav bar works behind the scenes and have rewritten a large portion of the code.
This should make future improvements much easier and help us build new features faster. However, with such a large change, there will almost certainly be a few bugs hiding somewhere.
If you spot anything unusual, please let us know at:
Your bug reports genuinely help us improve Kinema, and we appreciate everyone who takes the time to send feedback.
Thanks for supporting Kinema and following our journey. More updates are coming soon!
